October 19th 2024 - A Street Cat Named - Bob Staring Luke Treadaway and Ruth Gedmintas

Doors Open 1.00 for teas, coffees, cakes and other special goodies to tempt your palate. Programme starts at 1.45pm with Main feature starting at 2.00pm

This is the moving true story of the unlikely friendship between a young homeless busker, James Bowen, and the stray ginger cat who changed his life. James found the injured cat as he was living hand to mouth on the streets of London. He couldn't resist helping the cat, whom he quickly named Bob, and slowly nursed him back to health. When Bob was sent on his way, James imagined he would never see him again. But Bob had other ideas. Soon the two were inseparable and their diverse and comic adventures would transform both their lives. Their tale was published as a book in 2012, when James teamed up with writer Garry Jenkins, and A Street Cat Named Bob became a UK bestseller.

This really is a wonderful film and not to be missed - especially as it's based on a true story as outlined above

November 23rd 2024 - November Christmas Doors Open 1.00 for teas, coffees, cakes and other special goodies to tempt your palate. Programme starts at 1.45pm with Main feature starting at 2.00pm

Set in a small New England town, this emotional tear-jerker tells the story of a community coming together to give a little girl and her family an early holiday season in November. Eight year old Vanessa is in poor health and undergoing treatment. Her father, Tom Marks (John Corbett), wants to make life as normal as possible for his ailing daughter. When Vanessa's condition takes a turn for the worse, the whole town comes together with a magical holiday gift Vanessa and her family will never forget. A heartfelt and inspirational film.

Just the right film for this time of the year
